The phrase “Are we there yet?” brings back memories of family road trips.

No U-Turn
Not always a pleasant experience! There were three kids in our family; I was the only girl and middle child. My father believed the trip was about the destination, definitely not the journey! Maybe that had to do with three kids in one back seat!
So, in our journey with Sakai, “Are we there yet?” Over the past two months we have shared with you the path we’ve taken for investigating LMS systems, conducting usability testing and pilots, training initiatives, the overall decision-making process and implementation of a new Learning Management System. While PLS courses are now in Sakai and facilitators and students are working through the first courses in the system, our journey is far from over.
With every new system, process, and change adopted, not everything can be anticipated. Hopefully, the last couple of months have given you some insight into the road we have taken so far with Sakai and the effort we have put into making the best decision for PLS as a whole. Moving forward, we will continue to update you on the progress and discoveries we make along the way. No turning back!
While we aren’t there yet, we have come a long way! It’s been a very successful trip so far!
