Wow! What a great conference! So many people from a wide variety of backgrounds sharing information about teaching and technology. I have to say, I was thrilled by the content of the presentations: videoblogging, using iPods, gaming in the classroom, collaboration using Web 2.0, and the list goes on. I found myself thinking, “Hey! I bet I can use that in a course,” and then making a note of it. Of course, the long list of notes I made will last me for a really long time. Which is okay. It just means that I can keep the courses I develop innovative.
Additionally, I was absolutely thrilled with our presentation, Web 2.0 Solutions to Course Development Communication Challenges. Not only was our information timely and unique to the conference, but it also inspired the participants to, well, participate. I’ve already bookmarked all the interesting websites that were discussed in the chat and used them to find resources for course development.
I look forward to next year’s conference. I can only imagine what I’ll learn from the sessions and attendees. But I do know that it’ll be fantastic and applicable to course development. In the meantime, I’ll just keep going back to the conference website and review the session recordings. Just in case I missed something.
