When is attending a conference in Hawaii an easy travel approval? When the conference is online!
Later this month, April 15-17th, the 13th annual TCC Worldwide Online Conference is being held. The conference is hosted by the University of Hawai’i and the Kapi’olani Community College in association with Osaka Gakuin University (Japan) and LearningTimes. The conference provides an opportunity for higher education faculty, staff and administrators worldwide to share ideas and best practices for effectively using technology to enhance teaching and learning. All without any travel expenses!
PLS Online Course Development team is not only attending, but presenting at this year’s conference, The New Internet: Collaboration, Convergence, Creativity, Contrast and Challenges.
Our presentation, Web 2.0 Solutions to Course Development Challenges, is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15th from 6:00-7:00 pm CDT. For this presentation, our goal is to explain how we integrate Web 2.0 communication tools into the instructional design process. Developing effective communication during the design process is crucial to our course development given that Subject Matter Experts can easily be overwhelmed by the data and documents required to successfully develop an online course.
In our presentation, we will discuss how Web 2.0 communication tools enable us to adapt our design process to specific situations and individuals. These tools give us the flexibility and adaptability to tailor our communication to each Subject Matter Expert’s personal working and learning style, and varying levels of technical proficiency.
We hope that you, too, consider attending the TCC Worldwide Online Conference! Meet us in Hawaii!!
